To Book:

Details required for each diver:

  • Name
  • Contact after hours phone number/s – if available
  • Diver certification level, number of dives/last dive
  • Hire Equipment needed
  • Credit card number and expiry date payment can be made on the day. Credit cards, Eftpos cards and cash excepted.

Cancellation Policy:

There may be times when weather, swell, wind and/or sea conditions may force us to cancel a trip. Cathedral Cove Dive reserves the right to cancel any scheduled trip to ensure the safety of clients, staff, and equipment. If in doubt or you are coming from out of town, feel free to call us on the morning of the trip to confirm that the scheduled trip is running.

All Scuba Diver cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to meet time of trip, otherwise the full trip price may be charged. Snorkelers on the boat trip must give us at least 24 hours’ notice prior to trip time please. If personal health conditions do not allow a dive, Cathedral Cove Dive may offer alternate dates if available.

Seasickness, inability to equalise, weather conditions, and personal health conditions are not premises for refund.

Health & Safety Policy

Wendy Helms (Managing Director) is ultimately responsible for the Safe Management Systems. Our policies are designed to:

  • As a response to the Covid 19 pandemic, we will be following current best practices as advised
  • Prevent the occurrence of notifiable events to staff, customers and visitors;
  • Provide a healthy and safe workplace, safe equipment and proper materials;
  • Comply with Health and Safety Legislation, the Safety Audit Standard, Industry Training Organisation Standards and Occupational Diving Guidelines and Standards;
  • Continually improve health and safety management;
  • Establish and insist upon safe practices at all times;
  • Empower Staff to have the authority to halt an activity on safety grounds;
  • Take all practicable steps to ensure the health and safety of staff, participants and visitors.

We will actively practise and pursue safety for employees, clients and subcontractors and the general public who may, from time to time, come into contact with our operation. We require the timely and accurate reporting of all incidents, accidents, unsafe conditions and near misses.

Adventure Activity Risk Disclosure

As a New Zealand Adventure Activity, we are required to share this information with you before you make your booking with us:

With all of our Snorkeling & Dive trips you will spend some time on board one of our boats. Our skippers, instructors, divemasters and all staff hold first aid qualifications, and our boats are equipped with first aid kits and oxygen should you need it. We ask you to disclose any medical issues before coming out with us.

By booking on one of our trips, I accept the that the diving & snorkeling activity inherently involves risks and potential hazards. The risks and hazards include, but are not limited to marine traffic, marine life, decompression sickness, breathing compressed gas, barotrauma, air embolism, decompression illness, dehydration, gas narcosis, malfunctioning equipment, ear problems, sun damage, hyperthermia, hypothermia, sea sickness, drowning, adverse weather events and natural disasters..

Dive/Snorkelling trips occur on the ocean outside in the outdoors.At any stage you may be exposed to sudden natural disasters such as, but not limited to sudden changes in sea and weather conditions, extreme wind changes, tsunami, earthquakes, slips, landslides or rock falls,or volcanic eruption. I am aware that participating in the Diving/Snorkelling offered by Cathedral Cove Dive & Snorkel can be hazardous if they are not conducted with care, control, and responsibility. I acknowledge that these risks could result in injury (physical or mental) or death.

Cathedral Cove Dive Covid19 Policy

We are now operating our trips with no vaccination pass requirements HOWEVER we require all divers coming out on a trip with us to be fit and healthy with no signs of COVID 19. Please inform us immediately if you are not well as we have onsite RAT tests if needed. We will follow all Health guidelines in our best attempt to keep everyone safe.

Divers are encouraged to read and become familiar with the:

  • PADI Liability Release and Assumption of Risk Agreement
